Raj has worked tirelessly to make recreational facilities accessible to all Calgarians. His advocacy contributed to the approval of $109 million in funding for a new multisport fieldhouse in Saddleridge, ensuring diverse and inclusive spaces for sports enthusiasts of all levels.
Calgary Police Commission
Committed to public safety, Raj advocates for more enforcement in Ward 5, focusing on reducing crime and addressing concerns such as speeding and social disorder. His partnership with Calgary Police has seen a reduction in social disorder across the ward.
Community Development Committee
Raj sits on the Community Development Committee (CDC). The CDC
focuses on policies and programs that enhance Calgary's
community well-being, including social services, affordable
housing, community and recreational facilities, and various
civic initiatives that support quality of life for residents.
Raj contributes by reviewing policies, allocating resources to
community projects, and working on initiatives that align with
his focus areas, such as improving the tree canopy in Ward 5,
addressing public safety issues, and supporting local community
engagement.
Calgary Stampede Board & Arts Commission
Raj supports local arts and cultural events, advocating for
public art installations and creative spaces that reflect the
vibrant diversity of Ward 5. This includes the installation of
artwork on the 64 Ave pedestrian bridge over Metis Trail.
