In July 2024, Raj stood firmly against the Westwinds development proposal, which would have introduced 428 new units on the open space near the Westwinds Superstore. Raj voted no because he refuses to make Ward 5 a testing ground for unchecked density. He believes in the need for additional housing, but only when it’s matched by the infrastructure necessary to support our communities. After listening to residents’ concerns about insufficient engagement, Raj sent a clear message to City Hall: Ward 5 deserves better.
