Calgary’s roadways have experienced irregular freeze and thaw cycles in 2024. As a result, potholes became much worse this year. To address this pressing issue, Raj voted to reallocate $8.9 million from winter maintenance reserves toward pavement rehabilitation, resulting in a total of $15.8 million for road repairs across Calgary. This resulted in 6,000 potholes repairs in N.E. Calgary alone!
